Ditch the baggage, keep the wisdom

I'm a licensed mental health counselor in Washington who works with women and couples  on the relationship dynamics that really matter;
individual work on boundaries and burnout, or couples therapy to change the patterns keeping you stuck.

HEY THERE!

I'm Carrie, Your New Guide To Emotional Health

I became a therapist because I watched too many people—myself included—stay stuck in relationships and patterns that were slowly draining them. I'm a licensed therapist and former CPA who helps midlife women stop people-pleasing and reclaim their lives, and couples break the cycles keeping them disconnected.

You Don't Have To Keep Doing This Alone.

We’ll talk about the real stuff. Mood swings. Those midlife identity shake-ups. That loud inner critic who really needs to get a hobby. And yes — how to actually start feeling like yourself again, whoever that may be now.

A quick note on scope...

One of the hardest things about finding a therapist can be sifting through all of the jargon to find out what is NOT the best fit for you! To make that a little easier, here are some things to consider:

  • I only work with clients who are physically located in Washington state.
  • I do not work with children or adolescents, only adults.
  • I am not an in-network provider with any insurance companies.
  • I am not the best fit therapist for someone currently in crisis or with a recent psychiatric hospitalization.
  • I do not provide court-mandated therapy or forensic evaluations.
  • I specialize in working with midlife women. Most of my clients are experiencing anxiety, burnout, grief, and relationship difficulties when they begin counseling. Many of them have experienced trauma sometime in their life. I utilize Lifespan Integration as one of my trauma-informed ways of working with these challenges.
  • I also work with couples, primarily using the Gottman Method.
